Trust or Rust?
I’m Dr. Bob, and for just a mentoring minute I want to talk to you about the subject of “Trust or Rust?” Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts. It tells us to acknowledge Him in all our ways. This is a formula for success through our faith in God. When we don’t practice our trust in the Lord, our faith gets rusty around the edges. It loses it’s integrity. It dulls and begins to deteriorate. When we do practice our trust in Him, He directs our paths to great things. Why don’t you polish your faith today with a good application of trust in God? You will cause your faith, and your life, to shine for all the world to see. Please share this with a friend. All You Got Was Silence!
I'm Dr. Bob and for just a mentoring minute I want to talk to you about those times you earnestly sought God, and all you got was silence. You knew God was not surprised at your situation, nor uninterested. Yet, He would not respond to your prayers. When this happens, what do you do? Well, there is only one thing to do. Understand that God is well able to speak, but He has a purpose in not doing so. His silence could be a signal. It may be that He wants you slow you down… perhaps even stop, rest and listen. God will speak when He is ready. In the meantime, just relax. God is faithful. When He is ready, he will perform His Word over you.

Dressing for Success
I’m Dr. Bob and for just a mentoring minute I want to talk to you about dressing for success. The New Living Translation of Colossians 3:12 says, “Since God chose you to be the holy people whom he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.” If you want to dress for success in this world, your spiritual wardrobe can begin with even one of these.
Let’s talk about clothing yourself in the first one, which is tenderhearted mercy. It’s one thing to have mercy on someone, but quite another to clothe yourself in tenderhearted mercy. You see, when you deliver mercy from a tender heart, it not only changes the other person’s situation, but will change something in you, too. (Reflect on this thought.) How is your heart today? Why don’t you dress it for success? Put on tenderhearted mercy and make a difference. I’m Dr. Bob. Go to mentoringministry .com and let me know what you think.

Frustrations
I’m Dr. Bob and for just a mentoring minute, I want to share with you a thought on frustrations. Have you been frustrated because your priorities were not someone else’s priorities. There are times in my busy day when my scheduled appointments cancel, or are even forgotten, because the one I was going to meet put something else at a higher priority.
In these times, I have learned to apply a lesson of great value. Here it is. “Every disappointment is an opportunity for another appointment – an appointment with God.” I’m Dr. Bob. You can reach me at www.mentoringministry.com. Let me know what you think.

Elevator Faith
I’m Dr. Bob and for just a mentoring minute I want talk to you about “Elevator Faith” …yes, “Elevator Faith.” Every time I enter an elevator, or as it’s called in much of the world – a lift, I am reminded of how faith works. When you enter the elevator, all you are required to do is push the button. How high you go depends on the button you push. Isn’t faith just like that? When you need your faith to take you higher, the only button you need to push is found in Proverbs 3:5 and 6: It says, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; {6} In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” (NKJV)
The faith button you push is simply a thing called trust. The higher your trust in God, the higher your faith… and the higher you go. Why don’t you push your trust button today? It will elevate your faith to a higher level. I’m Dr. Bob. Contact me at mentoringministry.com and let me know what you think.

Is That All There Is?
I’m Dr. Bob and I want to talk to for a mentoring minute on the subject going from comfort zones to zones of fruitfulness. Often when we have worked hard, we finally find ourselves in zones that are comfortable and even rewarding. Have you ever arrived in a comfortable, rewarding place and asked yourself, “Is that all there is.” I have my comfort zones to be the most teachable times of my life. I have learned not to settle in, but to tune my spiritual ears and eyes toward God and let Him speak to me. I always hear Him say, “I have more for you.” You see, life is a journey, and though it has its stops along the way, what’s waiting at your next stop ought to be irresistible, regardless of the comforts you now enjoy.
In my willingness to leave what’s been good, I have always found God faithful to bring me to something even better. And… it will be even more fruitful for God’s kingdom. In the final analysis, it’s all about believing what God has said is true, and that His plan for me – and for you – is well worth leaving our comfort zones behind… and heading straight toward those zones of fruitfulness He has prepared for us. In them, we will find our destiny. Contact me at mentoringministry.com and let me know what you think.
