<itunes:summary>I’m Dr. Bob and for just a mentoring minute I want to give you what could be some timely advice. Here it is. Don’t avoid the water. What am I saying? Well, let me take you back to the days of Elijah. One day a great and powerful warrior knocked on Elijah’s door. His name was Naaman and he was afflicted with leprosy. All Naaman’s might, power and authority could not help him. He came looking for a miracle. Elijah would not even see him, but sent instructions through Gahazi, his servant to go wash in the river. Naanman was furious. He wanted his miracle and he wanted it his way. Have you known anyone like that? …After a lot of angry complaining, Naaman humbled himself and obeyed. When he went into the water, God’s healing touch cleansed him of his leprosy. What am I saying? Sometimes you have to surrender your pride to obedience and let God do things His way. Perhaps your miracle needs a bit of humility to put it into motion? If you know Christ, you have already been washed in His miracle-working blood. Now go wash off your pride. You might find your miracle is just on the other side of your obedience. I’m Dr. Bob. Contact me at Dr.Bob@mentoringministry.com and let me know how your swim in obedience felt.

The people will be waiting. Let them on. Let them off. Just focus on the task to which God has called you. Yes, there will be times when you are stopped by a red light. Just relax and wait for the green. It will surely come. When it does, just drive the bus. There will be other times when it seems you are stuck in a traffic jam and cannot move. Just relax and wait for things to clear up. You will get to your destination and will help many others do the same. I'm Dr. Bob. Contact me at Dr.Bob@mentoringministry.com (mailto:Dr.Bob@mentoringministry.com) and just relax, drive the bus, and let me know about the route to which you have been assigned.

I'm Dr. Bob and for just a mentoring minute, I want to ask if you were called to go, but have insisted that it had to fit into what you established as your convenient, self-serving, self-assuring timetable. I know that sounds harsh, but is it possible you might find you waited too long and required too much? Many are called and wait to long. They never realize the great gift of destiny that God had prepared for them. If you are reluctant to go, you will never know what could have been your destiny. You will only wonder at what might have been and should have been. I'm Dr. Bob. If you want to know, you've got to go. Contact me at Dr.Bob@mentoringministry.com (mailto:Dr.Bob@mentoringministry.com) and we can talk about all you can know, if only you’ll go.

The next time you find your family, your job, your health or your finances threatened, do not give the devil an inch, not one inch! Instead, seize the opportunity to give God the glory, in the midst of your story. No matter how bleak it may appear to be, giving glory to God can cause heaven to move mountains on your behalf. What a strategic time to praise Him. Have faith in God. You will walk out the other side with a God-glorifying, devil-horrifying testimony. Every time you tell what the Lord has done, it’s like hitting old slew foot in the head with a large rock. Yes, you will be a winner and a champion when you begin your testimony when the battle announces itself and begins its attack. You will prove by your faith that you are a winner and a champion. You will make the devil’s neck your footstool. I’m Dr. Bob. Write me at www.mentoringministry.com and declare the goodness of God.

<itunes:summary>I’m Dr. Bob and I want to ask if you have ever enjoyed a nicely ripened Golden Delicious apple? I find apples to be tasty and satisfying, especially when I have one of those mid-afternoon cravings for something special. Now I normally like chocolate, but there are times when nothing but a good apple will do. Have you heard it said, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away?” Well, how about this? “An apple a day keeps the devil away.” Let me explain. Proverbs 25:11 (NKJV) says, “A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver.” Psalms 34:8 (NKJV) says, “Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!” I highly recommend you make it your habit to speak God’s Word in response to any situation in which you find yourself. When God’s Word is ‘fitly spoken,” you can trust what you say to fit the situation. It will be a golden apple that keeps the devil away! Yes, today would be a good day to taste the goodness of the Lord, as you watch Him respond to what you say. After all, you are simply saying what He said. He will surely honor His Word. It is always solid gold. I’m Dr. Bob. Contact me at www.mentoringministry.com and let me know what you think.

<itunes:summary>I'm Dr. Bob and for just a mentoring minute, I want to ask you, "What if?" You are probably thinking, "What if what? Well, what if we all had a positive response to obey all the "Ifs" God presents us with in the Bible? Deuteronomy, Chapter 28 tells us that obedience to Biblical "ifs" results in blessings. It is a simple cause and effect formula. If we obey, then we get blessed. This is not just hope or speculation. It is a guarantee backed by the authority of heaven. God commands the blessing. It seems to me that this is another one of those “no brainers.” I would suggest that not to obey the positive “ifs” guarantees we will experience the negative “ifs.” There are plenty of those in the Bible too. The same authority guarantees the negatives as the positives. Yes, it is definitely a no brainer. Only a fool chooses the negatives, when God promises the blessings of the positives. He never lies. I'm Dr. Bob, and I am no fool. I will take the positive “ifs.” What if… you did too? Contact me at www.mentoringministry.com (../) and tell me what you think.

<itunes:summary>I'm Dr. Bob and for just a mentoring minute I want to clear up something. There are times when you may feel your life is like a ship in the fog. You are in motion but cannot see where you are going, or what is in your path. It can be unsettling. There seems to be no way to see what is ahead. However, God assures us in His Word to expect the fog to lift and your paths to brighten. Just keep on serving Him and believing He is who He said He is. Proverbs 4:18 (NKJV) says, “But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto a perfect day.” I call that walking in the Favor Of God, or walking in the F.O.G. Take a walk with Jesus. Trade the fog of uncertainty or confusion for the Favor Of God. You will see clearly as you move toward your destiny. I'm Dr. Bob. Contact me at www.mentoringministry.com and let me know what you see, now that the fog is clearing.

<itunes:summary>I'm Dr. Bob and for just a mentoring minute, I want you to consider three questions. Here's the first question. It was God’s question to Adam. He asked, “Where are you?” We know God knew Adam’s location. There was a deeper meaning. The question exposed the problem. Adam had sinned and now his relationship with God was changed. He no longer enjoyed close fellowship with the Lord. Sin destroyed it.

Here is the second question. It’s found in Matthew 2:2. When the wise men from the East heard of Jesus’ birth, they asked, “Where is He?” They were guided to a lowly a manger by a heavenly star in the sky. They found the Savior. He was the answer to sin. He who knew no sin would become sin, so we could escape its grip and get back to God.

Now, consider a final question. It is just like the first. God, in all His loving grace, will ask it of you. “Where are you?” Yes, you! I'm Dr. Bob. Stop for a moment, consider this question and then, contact me at www.mentoringministry.com (../) and tell me where you could be, if you just accept Christ’s loving sacrifice and then, draw near to God.

<itunes:summary>I’m Dr. Bob, and for just a mentoring minute I want to add one more thing to my previous thoughts on the subject of “Just Because.” I cannot let it go without encouraging you that you ought to add a significant truthful revelation from Scripture to your answer when you are asked, “Why you follow Christ, and why you are so committed to Him?” It comes from prayerfully meditating on these two Scriptures. In John 8:58 (NKJV), Jesus identified Himself to His enemies by saying, “Before Abraham was, I AM.” In Revelation 1:8 (NKJV), the risen Lord declared, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” He is all that I said in my previous thoughts on “Just Because.” Add to that the truth that He is the Almighty, King of Kings, the Most High, the Great I AM, and your loving Lord and Savior. He surely has done great things for you. Add this to your answer and you have the complete picture. He is absolute in faithfulness. He is completely dependable and trustworthy. He is infinite in power. He is the Ruler over all things. He rules over every circumstance, opportunity, trial, test and triumph. I’m Dr. Bob. Write me at www.mentoringministry.com and let me know how both these mentoring minutes have touched your life.
