When God gives you a dream, make sure your expectations, plans and choices line up with your dream. This requires that they also line up and agree with the principles of God’s Word. Accurate agreement with Scripture will breathe life into your dream. Then, expect it to be touched by the Holy Spirit. Hebrews 6:11-12 (NKJV) says, “And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, {12} that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”
Agreement with God and His ways is the stuff dreams feed on until they become tangible reality. Agreement means making righteous choices that are well-pleasing to God. Through them, the Holy Spirit will advance you from the dream stage to the realization of what you dreamed. You will need patience and a determination not to let the dream escape. As you are patient, you will witness the potential within your dream become reality. Your dream will be fulfilled. Herm Edwards, an American football coach said, “We are all a collection of our choices.” Righteous, God-pleasing choices will give you your dreams and make you a winner and champion for Jesus! Write down your dream and reflect on what it would take from you to join with the Holy Spirit, doing your part to see it become reality.
