Test Before The Lesson

I’m Dr. Bob and for just a Mentoring Minute, I want to remind you of your times in school. Here was the way it worked. You learned the lesson and them you took the test. It is different in the school of the Holy Spirit. First, you take the test. Then, you learn the lesson. The test comes through your life experiences. The lesson follows, as God speaks to you. If you are teachable, you learn. You pass or fail by how you apply the learning and live your life. If the test changed you, you live like the winner and champion you are… unless of course, you do not appreciate the value of the test. Then, nothing changes. My advice is not to waste a good test. Let it touch your heart as you listen for the lesson from the Holy Spirit. Then wait patiently for the faithfulness of God and let the lesson become part of your life. James 1:2-4 says, “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, {3} knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. {4} But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” I’m Dr. Bob. Let every test bring you patience and then your patience can do a perfect work within. You can listen to my previous Mentoring Minutes at www.mentoringministry.com/blogs.
