Fruit that bears Fruit
I’m Dr. Bob, and for just a mentoring minute I want to share a thought with an eternal perspective. In John 15:16 (NKJV), Jesus said, “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.” Jesus spoke of fruit should remain. Take it up a notch and consider the value of “fruit that remains… and becomes fruitful.” Consider the fruit tree that drops its fruit and the seeds become more fruit trees, that drop more fruit, as they continue the pattern, producing even more fruit trees. I once visited a pastor I had trained. When he introduced me to his congregation of new believers, he said, “Pastor Bob, I want to introduce you to your spiritual grandchildren.” Do you see my point? What a feeling it was to see the fruit of my earlier efforts produce more fruit into the next generations! I’m Dr. Bob. Write me at Dr.Bob@mentoringministry.com and let me know that what I shared is fruitful for your future.

God Glorified, Devil Horrified!
I’m Dr. Bob. For just a mentoring minute, I want to ask, do you know what horrifies the devil? The next time you find your family, your job, your health or your finances threatened, do not give the devil an inch, not one inch! Instead, seize the opportunity to give God the glory, in the midst of your story. No matter how bleak it may appear to be, giving glory to God can cause heaven to move mountains on your behalf. What a strategic time to praise Him. Have faith in God. You will walk out the other side with a God-glorifying, devil-horrifying testimony. Every time you tell what the Lord has done, it’s like hitting old slew foot in the head with a large rock. Yes, you will be a winner and a champion when you begin your testimony when the battle announces itself and begins its attack. You will prove by your faith that you are a winner and a champion. You will make the devil’s neck your footstool. I’m Dr. Bob. Write me at www.mentoringministry.com and declare the goodness of God.

Best Hospital in Town
I’m Dr. Bob, and for just a mentoring minute, I want to thank God that most of you listening to this do not have to do so from a hospital bed. Even listening from the best hospital in town is not as good as listening to this from most other places. Thank God we can prosper and be in health even as our souls prosper (3 John 2). You and I are alive and well, blessed by God, and in a position to bless others. I know that even if I should find myself in the best hospital in town, my hope remains in the Lord, who is my Healer.” (Exodus 15:26.) This is my confession and prayer: Psalms 103:2-3 (NKJV) says, “Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: {3} Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases,” God is forever faithful. He is always ready to perform His Word over you (Jeremiah 1:12.). I’m Dr. Bob. Write me at www.mentoringministry.com and let me know your latest reason to rejoice that your Healer performed His Word over you. ?

Just a Little Bit More
I’m Dr. Bob and for just a mentoring minute, I want to encourage you to ask God for just a little bit more – to be just a little bit more like Him, and to have just a little bit more of Him. Yes, He has no problem with your asking. It is as good a prayer as there is, because His desire is that you be as much like Him as possible. Here is my suggestion. Let your request be focused on the things that will give you more of God, more godly discernment, more spiritual understanding and more knowledge of His will for your life. It is a simple, yet incredibly mature, profound prayer. The Apostle Paul prayed it for his Colossian friends in Colossians 1:9-10. Take the time to study it. Pray it over yourself. You and those you love are the reason the Holy Spirit made sure this prayer made it into the Bible. It is a prayer worth praying. Make it a habit, every day, to pray it over yourself and those you love. I’m Dr. Bob. Contact me at www.mentoringministry.com and I will agree with your prayer.

Just a Little bit Less
I’m Dr. Bob and for just a mentoring minute, I want to encourage you to ask God to help you allow just a little bit less of those things He finds offensive into your life. What am I saying? Well, make your prayers specific. Ask Him to help you put off, or remove those things that hinder or prevent you from being just a little bit more like Him, every day, in every way. Start with this advice from the Apostle Paul. In Colossians 3:8 (NKJV), he wrote, “But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth.” That is good, basic instruction to make some changes, so you can begin to experience a decrease in those things that have consistently been barriers to your blessings. I’m Dr. Bob. Write me at www.mentoringministry.com and let me know if I have encouraged you to grow, just a little bit less like the world and a little bit more like Jesus.

Just Too Little
I’m Dr. Bob and for just a mentoring minute I want to ask you whether your thinking is just too little to take you, your hopes, your dreams and even your relationships from where they are to where they could be? What is there that holds you back from your destiny… or even just the ability to have peace in your life? I heard Dr. James Merrit say, “There are no conflicts too big to solve, just people too little to solve them.” You may need to surrender whatever keeps your life small, so God can make your life, your influence and your impact on others large. Submit to God. Surrender whatever keeps your thinking small. You will open your heart to a large portion of God’s wisdom. Then, you can take your place in the sun, because you took your place in the S-O-N, the Son of God. Be a person who grows in God until you shine for Him in a large, very bright way. Proverbs 24:3-4 says, “Through wisdom a house is built, And by understanding it is established; {4} By knowledge the rooms are filled With all precious and pleasant riches.” Proverbs 4: 7-8 says, “Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding. {8} Exalt her, and she will promote you; She will bring you honor, when you embrace her.” I’m Dr. Bob. Lighten the Load
I’m Dr. Bob and for just a mentoring minute, I want to ask if you ever have that sinking feeling? If so, you may need to lighten your load. Are you ready and willing to do so? I am reminded of the lesson from Acts, Chapter 27, when the Apostle Paul was shipwrecked. When the ship was sinking in the storm, sailors threw stuff overboard. They knew that if the ship was burdened with too much stuff, it was destined to sink. It is a timeless lesson. What stuff are you carrying around in your heart that gives you that sinking feeling? It can be like an anchor chained to your soul. Here is the good news. It is not too late to surrender it to God. Give it to Him and trust Him to carry the burdens for you. In Matthew 11:28-30 (NKJV) Jesus said, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. {29} Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. {30} For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” If you will make the exchange today, you will feel like your load is so light that you can walk on the water all the way to your destiny. I’m Dr. Bob. Contact me at www.mentoringministry.com and let me know how it feels to be free of that sinking feeling.

Golden Delicious
I’m Dr. Bob and I want to ask if you have ever enjoyed a nicely ripened Golden Delicious apple? I find apples to be tasty and satisfying, especially when I have one of those mid-afternoon cravings for something special. Now I normally like chocolate, but there are times when nothing but a good apple will do. Have you heard it said, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away?” Well, how about this? “An apple a day keeps the devil away.” Let me explain. Proverbs 25:11 (NKJV) says, “A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver.” Psalms 34:8 (NKJV) says, “Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!” I highly recommend you make it your habit to speak God’s Word in response to any situation in which you find yourself. When God’s Word is ‘fitly spoken,” you can trust what you say to fit the situation. It will be a golden apple that keeps the devil away! Yes, today would be a good day to taste the goodness of the Lord, as you watch Him respond to what you say. After all, you are simply saying what He said. He will surely honor His Word. It is always solid gold. I’m Dr. Bob. Contact me at www.mentoringministry.com and let me know what you think.

The “If” Factor
I’m Dr. Bob and for just a mentoring minute, I want to ask you, “What if?” You are probably thinking, “What if what? Well, what if we all had a positive response to obey all the “Ifs” God presents us with in the Bible? Deuteronomy, Chapter 28 tells us that obedience to Biblical “ifs” results in blessings. It is a simple cause and effect formula. If we obey, then we get blessed. This is not just hope or speculation. It is a guarantee backed by the authority of heaven. God commands the blessing. It seems to me that this is another one of those “no brainers.” I would suggest that not to obey the positive “ifs” guarantees we will experience the negative “ifs.” There are plenty of those in the Bible too. The same authority guarantees the negatives as the positives. Yes, it is definitely a no brainer. Only a fool chooses the negatives, when God promises the blessings of the positives. He never lies. I’m Dr. Bob, and I am no fool. I will take the positive “ifs.” What if… you did too? Contact me at www.mentoringministry.com and tell me what you think.

Trading Fog for F.O.G.
I’m Dr. Bob and for just a mentoring minute I want to clear up something. There are times when you may feel your life is like a ship in the fog. You are in motion but cannot see where you are going, or what is in your path. It can be unsettling. There seems to be no way to see what is ahead. However, God assures us in His Word to expect the fog to lift and your paths to brighten. Just keep on serving Him and believing He is who He said He is. Proverbs 4:18 (NKJV) says, “But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto a perfect day.” I call that walking in the Favor Of God, or walking in the F.O.G. Take a walk with Jesus. Trade the fog of uncertainty or confusion for the Favor Of God. You will see clearly as you move toward your destiny. I’m Dr. Bob. Contact me at www.mentoringministry.com and let me know what you see, now that the fog is clearing.
