A Welcoming Truth

I’m Dr. Bob and for just a mentoring minute I’d like to share with you a welcoming truth. How often have we, as Christians, heard or said, “Holy Spirit, You are welcome in this place.” We even sing a song by that title. Today, my heart was impressed with the fact that we are always, always welcome into His place, which He makes wherever we look for Him. He keeps the doors open twenty-four seven, three sixty-five. We are always welcome, always loved! Why don’t we learn to say, “Thank you Holy Spirit for welcoming us into Your place.” Please share this with a friend, especially one who needs this welcoming truth. I’m Dr. Bob. A Welcoming Truth

Flower Gardens

I’m Dr. Bob and for just a mentoring minute I want to talk to you about flower gardens. A flower garden will only reach its potential when it is nourished, cared for and kept free from the damaging intrusion of things that should not be growing there. Your marriage is very much like a flower garden. For it to reach the fullness of its beauty, you must nourish and care for it, while protecting it from what has no place growing in it. Look for my new book, “Growing Together – Marriage Enrichment for Every Culture.” It will be on my website bookstore in May. I’m Dr. Bob. Contact me at www.mentoringministry.com and let me know what you think… and if you have any questions about marriage, or enriching your marriage, I will be happy to try to answer them for you.

Patterns

I’m Dr. Bob and for just a mentoring minute, I want to talk to you about patterns. Life’s habits are the patterns that make up, determine and even control our lives. If you wish to change what your life looks like, begin by identifying one small pattern that pleases neither God nor you. Modify it or replace it with a new pattern that pleases both God and you. Make this new pattern a part of your life. Then, after a while, search your soul for another pattern you can easily change or replace. Add it to the first new one. Now, you are beginning to transform your life, one pattern at a time. You will become all God designed you to be. Think about it. Share this with a friend. I’m Dr. Bob. Contact me at www.mentoringministry.com and let me know what you think.

Love is what?

I’m Dr. Bob and for just a mentoring minute I want to ask if you understand what love is? Have you ever said, “I love movies” or “I love pizza” or “I love my car”? What is love? Let me suggest a definition of love, according to how God sees it. Here it is: Love is your deliberate effort to bring as much of God’ goodness and grace to someone as you can, at whatever the cost to you might be. Think about it. Share the thought with a friend. I’m Dr. Bob. Contact me at www.mentoringministry.com and let me know what you think.

A to Z and LMNOP!

I’m Dr. Bob and for just a mentoring minute I want to talk to you about seasons of life. Each season of your life has a beginning. All the beginning requires is your willingness to move ahead without knowing the details that will follow. What you need to remember is that God is in all the details. He is never surprised and never loses control. So, you can move into all your beginnings with this in mind. There are no surprises in heaven! God is on the throne of your beginnings… and everything that follows. He knows the beginning, the end and everything in between. He is the Alpha and Omega. He is the A and the Z… and the LMNOP! Please share this with a friend. I’m Dr. Bob. Contact me at www.mentoringministry.com and let me know what you think.

What about tomorrow?

I’m Dr. Bob and for just a mentoring minute I want to ask you the question, What about tomorrow? Is that something about which you worry too much? Matthew 6:34 tells us not to worry about tomorrow because tomorrow will take care of itself. If you spend so much time thinking about tomorrow you may fail to realize your opportunities for today. If you exercise your opportunities for your todays, they will become the stepping stones upon which you will walk into your tomorrows. This would be an excellent opportunity to remind yourself that God is at work in your life today… and He will be there for you tomorrow. So, why don’t you do something with today’s blessings, so you can expect more of them tomorrow. Encourage a friend with these thoughts. I’m Dr. Bob. Contact me at www.mentoringministry and let me know what you think.
